Judith Ellen Patrick, 63, of Independence, MO. passed away Sunday, December 30, 2018. Service will be 10am, Friday, January 4, 2019 at Speaks Suburban Chapel, 18020 E. 39th St., Independence, Mo. 64055. Graveside services to follow at Mt. Washington Cemetery in Independence, Mo. Judith was born on March 18, 1955 in Independence, Mo, to Charles and Mary(Byler) Patrick. She attended William Chrisman High and UMKC as well. Where she graduated with a bachelor’s Degree in Business. Judith worked for Southern Awning and Iron until the company closed. After she became a dealer for a local Casino. Which she loved and enjoyed every minute of it. It would be impossible to adequately memorialize in words a life that meant so much to so many. Judith, was the ultimate giver. She gave everything of herself for those dearest to her. In a life of immense joys and tragedies, she remained spunky, steady and ever wise. She found joy in her family, showing horses, Needle point, volleyball and was an avid fan of the Kansas City Royals and The Kansas City Chiefs. Judith loved life and lived it to the fullest. While those she left here on earth will miss her humor, her counsel and her encouragement, we are comforted in knowing that she is happy, healthy and smiling down on us. Judith leaves behind her mother, Mary Badder, of Independence, MO., sister, Cheryl Pugh (Bert) of Rexburg, Idaho. Cousin, Ellen (Alex) Garcia of Lone Jack, Mo. Nieces, Heather (Brandon) Preston, Amie (Ryan) Veach, Shannon (Carlos) Campos. Nephew, Cory Simmons. Great–Niece and Nephews, Isabelle and Eleanore Preston, Alex Lopez and Christopher Veach, Selena, Carlos Jr., Ruben, Xavier and Cherribel Campos. I love you Aunt Judy. I can’t believe we’ll never root on our Royals or Chiefs together again but I’ll cherish my memories with you forever and pass on your love for our KC sports teams to my girls in your honor. Thank you for always being there for me with a big hug, a contagious laugh and some seriously tasty cookies. I always admired your independence, inner confidence and feisty spirit....I’ll miss you more than words can adequately convey.

May the Family know that She Is safe in Gods memory awaiting for Him to instruct His Son, Jesus Christ to fulfill the words he had spoken in John 5:28,29 where we find him saying: Do not be amazed at this, for the hour is coming in which all those in the memorial tombs (or Gods memory) will hear his ( Jesus Christ ) Voice and come out, to a resurrection to life. So may these words bring some comfort and hope for the future when all of you will be able to hold her once again and able to enjoy an endless life as God has purposed us to live, Psalm 37:29. And go to to find out more promises of God that will come true.

We worked together at the same location for over 22 years, your funny laugh and smile will be truly missed. I so enjoyed hearing about all of your vacations to Florida and Hawaii. I hope that you are now and forever, basking in the sunlight of God's love.
