Obituary

Nathan Mitchell Hamilton, 21, of Blue Springs, MO passed away January 2, 2019. A visitation will be held from 1-3:00 p.m. followed by a 3:00 p.m. memorial service on Saturday, January 12, at the Speaks Suburban Chapel, 18020 E. 39th St., Independence, MO. Nathan was born October 20, 1997, at St. Joseph Medical Center in Kansas City, MO to Bill and Kim Hamilton. Growing up he loved sports, and shared a passion for baseball with his dad. Nathan was outgoing and always surrounded by friends and family. He would drop everything he was doing to put another person's needs before his own. He graduated from Blue Springs High School in 2016. Following high school, Nathan discovered his gift for working with children. He is survived by two loving parents Bill and Kim; brother Brandon; sister Allison; and many extended family members. My heart was sadden when I read of the loss of Nathan, and I wanted to send my warmest condolences to the family. To lose a precious loved one, a child, a part of you, can bring such overwhelming grief but the God of all comfort tells us at 2 Kings 20:5 He doesn’t cause the loss and that He hears your prayers, sees your tears and feels your pain. Please read in the Bible at John 5:28,29 that not only does God care but lovingly gives assurance that you will have him in your life once again without all the pain we see today. Until God’s promises come true may every good thought, every memory of the love you felt, flood and overtake you with calm and peace to help you through the dark moments. Please go to jw.org for more encouraging scriptures and videos to help heal your broken heart 💔 https://tv.jw.org/#en/mediaitems/VODMinistryTools/pub-imv_4_VIDEO

I ran into Nate a couple years ago at Subway. Nate was keeping Cole company during a slow night of working at Subway. Nate greeted me with an enthusiastic "Hi Mrs. Schwarz"! Although I cringed at the formality of being called "Mrs. Schwarz", I remember thinking, Wow, what manners! I can honestly say, through the years of watching our boys play ball, out of all the kids, Nate was absolutely the best baseball player I had ever seen. He could hit that ball with such effortless force. And talk about speed! My gosh, he would be rounding second base and in the blink of an eye, he was sliding into home!! In my book, Nate is a baseball legend. I know your hearts are breaking. There is no pain greater than losing a child. My prayer is that memories of Nate bring a smile to your face, not tears. Nathan, you will be missed, but never forgotten. Prayers and Love to all

My sweet Nate, you have always been one of the sweetest, kindest and most thoughtful people I have ever met. Your smile and happy go lucky spirit was infectious. Your heart and compassion is why people and children were so drawn to you. Although it was way too short, your life enriched so many others. I am honored and grateful to call you my nephew and for the time we had together. You are so loved and will be so missed! All my love always and forever!
