Dianne Lee Byrnes, 61, passed away on February 3, 2020.

A memorial visitation will be held from 6-8pm on Monday, February 17th at Speaks Suburban Chapel, 18020 E 39th St., Independence, MO 64055.

Dianne was born on January 19, 1959, in Troy, MO, the daughter of Barbara Lee, and graduated from Shawnee Mission North High School in the class of 1977. She briefly attended Longview College, and she spent her career working for Merriam Laboratories, as a child care provider, as a consultant for Scentsy, and even had an Etsy store. She was a creative artist with an eclectic taste. She had an irreverent sense of humor but loved her family unconditionally. She always thought of others before herself.

She was preceded in death by her father Lt. Col. Lawrence C. Lee, her aunt Marlene Wheatley and her sister Jeannie Stroh.

She is survived by her husband, James Byrnes; two daughters, Sarah Dunlap (husband Phillip) and Erinn Kilcran (husband David); four grandchildren, Janie Dunlap, Tori Dunlap, Nicholas Dunlap, and Meadow Kilcran; mother, Barbara Lee; two brothers, David Lee and Danny Lee; and two sisters-in-law, Brenda Swadley and Michell Dyche.

My sincere thoughts are sent to all family members, especially Dianne's children, grandchildren, and her Mother. Before moving to North Carolina, I was a neighbor to Dianne. My prayers are with each of you during this difficult time. May Dianne rest in peace.
