Aaron Michael Toney, a cherished father, devoted friend, and visionary entrepreneur, left this world on April 22, 2025, surrounded by those dearest to his heart. Born on January 4, 1979, in Independence, Missouri, Aaron touched the lives of many throughout his extraordinary journey.
A proud graduate of Fort Osage High School, Aaron went on to carve out a successful career as the owner and operator of Legendary Stone. His dedication to his work was matched only by his generosity and compassion for others. Clients and employees alike adored him for his expertise and the genuine care he showed, always ensuring that those who worked alongside him had what they needed to provide for their families. He exemplified what it meant to be a true leader, remembered for the strength of his spirit and the support he offered those around him. In 2000, Aaron met a beautiful young woman named Andrea through mutual friends. They hit it off almost immediately, and their connection was undeniable, especially to those around them. On June 14, 2003, Aaron and Andrea pledged their love and devotion to one another, beginning their journey as husband and wife. Andrea was overjoyed to begin her life with Aaron and his beautiful daughter, Kaeli. From their marriage came two more of their biggest blessings, thus completing their family: Addison and Ava. Aaron was a man of many passions and loved to share them with Andrea and his girls; they loved sports, from sand volleyball to soccer, and found joy in hiking and biking. They were always active and brought their exuberant energy to every gathering. Aaron’s love for life was infectious, especially when it came to music—he was a talented singer who could often be found belting out his favorite tunes and spreading happiness through his voice. Whether they were at concerts, bonfires, or ball games, Aaron and Andrea embraced every opportunity to socialize and connect with their cherished tribe. Out of all the remarkable things he and Andrea did together, their absolute greatest joy was cheering on their girls in all that they did. Their unwavering love and support enabled them to do anything and everything they set their hearts and minds to.
Though he faced the challenges of ALS with remarkable courage and a fiery spirit, it was his loving heart that truly shone through. Aaron was a tremendous listener and offered profound advice, especially to his beloved daughters. He was a selfless provider, always ready to drop everything to lend a helping hand to friends in need. His unwavering faith illuminated his path, guiding him through life's trials and inspiring everyone around him. Above all, Aaron’s proudest accomplishment was his family. As a devoted girl dad, he adored his daughters with every fiber of his being and held an irreplaceable bond with them. He was not just a father; he was their hero—ever-present, steadfast, and perpetually loving. He wasn't only a hero to his family, but to many, many others whose lives he touched.
Aaron's legacy of faith, love, and joy lives on through his best friend and loving wife of nearly 22 incredible years, Andrea; his daughters, Addison Toney, Ava Toney, and Kaeli Henry (Nick); his grandson, Owen Henry; his parents, Forrest and Diana Toney; his father and mother-in-law, Galen and Shirley Young; his brother, Chad Toney (Carol); his sister-in-law, Rachelle Epperson (Brian); and his nieces and nephews, Ian Toney, Payton Toney, Chloe Speer, Jack Speer, and Charlotte Speer.
Family will greet guests during a visitation at Speaks Suburban Chapel on Thursday, May 1, 2025, from 5-8 pm. On Friday, May 2nd, 2025, a funeral service will be held at Abundant Life Blue Springs Campus at 3 pm with a graveside immediately following at Blue Springs Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Toney Memorial Education Fund. All contributions will be placed towards their daughter's college tuition as they begin to make their mark on the world, truly embodying their dad's bright and loving spirit.
While Aaron is running freely, singing among the angels, he leaves behind a legacy of love, joy, and inspiration. He will be profoundly missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him, and his memory will forever echo in the hearts of his family and friends.
