Maude Adams, 92, of Independence, MO fell asleep in death surrounded by her family on Tuesday, December 9, 2008. She now awaits resurrection in the near future to life on a paradise earth.
Following private burial, a memorial visitation will be from 1-3:00 PM Saturday, December 13 at Speaks Suburban Chapel with memorial services beginning at 3:00 PM. In lieu of flowers the family suggests contributions to the Watchtower and Bible Tract Society, 25 Columbia Heights, Brooklyn, NY 11201-2483.
Maude was born August 5, 1916 to Barney and Martha (Shanks) Richardson. She married Ralph Adams on April 16, 1934 and to this union were born seven children. Her life centered around her children and grandchildren. Maude had a strong faith that she enjoyed sharing with others and had more than 70 years of service as one of Jehovah’s Witnesses. She will be missed by all who knew and loved her for her loving and generous spirit and strong and supportive nature.
Maude was preceded in death by her husband Ralph in 1996 and is survived by her children and their spouses: Ray and Carole Adams, Mickie and Robert Seutter, Helen and Ronald Casselman, Wanda and Dan Vail, Shirley Behnke, Ralph Adams Jr., and Vicki and Harry Campbell; 13 grandchildren: David, Rick, Scott, Darren, Jim, Teresa, Brian, Dan, Tina, Casey, Katya, Annie, and Mindy; 20 great-grandchildren; and many close friends. The family would like to thank all who visited and supported Maude throughout the years.
