Aiden Flynn McClure, age 17, of Independence, Missouri passed away on Wednesday, June 21, 2023, in the early afternoon. Aiden was born on October 21, 2005, at Menorah Medical Center in Overland Park, Kansas. He was the son of Brian and Kelsey McClure of Independence, Missouri, and Stacy and Rick Oxley of Shawnee, Kansas.  Aiden was entering his senior year at Fort Osage High School and would have graduated in Spring of 2024. Aiden had long-term plans of attending Kansas University and majoring in Biology. Aiden had a passion for knowledge, history, plants, reading, art, animals, and writing. At Fort Osage High School, Aiden excelled and lettered in journalism. In his free time, Aiden enjoyed reading, taking care of his plants, perfecting the grilled cheese sandwich, playing with his kitty, Guts, and building LEGOS, but collecting and listening to his vinyl records brought Aiden the most joy.

Aiden was predeceased by his grandfather, Richard Miller. He is survived by his loving parents, Brian and Kelsey McClure, Stacy and Rick Oxley, his siblings, Christian McClure (Jordan McClure), Annabelle McClure, Ava Oxley, and Miles Grandon, his grandparents, numerous aunts and uncles, and cousins.
