Alexander Valverde, affectionately known as Alex, passed away on October 6, 2024, in Blue Springs, Missouri, surrounded by his loved ones. Born on July 17, 1944, in Kansas City, Kansas, Alex lived a life that embodied joy, love, and unwavering faith. He touched the lives of countless individuals during his years as the Lab Director at Truman Lakewood Medical, where his dedication and expertise inspired those around him.

 

Alex was not only a leader in his professional life but also an ardent supporter in his community, frequently taking on the role of coach for various sports teams. His big personality made him the life of every party, and his laughter could invariably brighten even the gloomiest of days. He had an adventurous spirit, evident in his love for traveling and dancing, pursuits that he enjoyed sharing with family and friends.

 

Alex was a proud veteran who served in the Air Force, embodying the values of courage and commitment throughout his life. He worked hard to obtain his master’s degree from Emporia State, a testament to his enduring passion for education and self-improvement which inspired his family and many others.

 

Family was at the heart of Alex’s world. He celebrated every moment spent with his wife, children, and grandchildren, often citing them as his proudest accomplishments. He cherished the bond with his siblings, creating a legacy of love and togetherness that will remain strong in their hearts.

 

In honoring the memory of Alex, family and friends are invited to come together to celebrate his remarkable life. Rosary will be held on October 13, 2024, from 4:00 PM to 4:30 PM at Speaks Suburban Chapel, located at 18020 East 39th St S, Independence, MO with a Visitation from 4:30 - 6:00 PM. A Memorial Service will follow on October 14, 2024, at 10:00 AM at St. John LaLande Catholic Church, situated at 801 NW RD Mize Rd, Blue Springs, MO.

 

Though Alex has departed from this earthly realm, his vibrant spirit, infectious laughter, and unconditional love will forever resonate in the lives he touched. His influence will continue to shine brightly in the hearts of those who survive him, survivors include his wife, Martha Valverde; children, Alexander (Bobbi) Valverde II, Christopher (Kim) Valverde, Danielle (Tracy) Struttmann; grandchildren, Alexis Valverde, Elysia Valverde, Alaina Valverde, Gabby Valverde, Alexander Valverde III, Morgan Struttmann, Carson Struttmann, Alex Epperson, Amanda Stene, Ashlyn Ultican; and siblings, Rose Harris, Robert Valverde, Frances Snyder, Jean Valverde; who will carry forward his legacy with pride and love. Alex is preceded in death by his parents, Robert Corral Valverde and Eulalia (Briones) Valverde and his sister, Pauline Rambaldo.
