James Allen

James Allen, 65, of Independence, MO passed away May 14, 2013. A celebration of Jim’s life will take place from 1-4:00 p.m. on Sunday, June 23, at Lakewood Oaks Golf Club. Jim was born May 24, 1947 in Kansas City, MO to John Frederick and Alverda Marie Allen. He was a veteran of the United States Navy. Jim worked 29 years at Armco Steel. The last 11 years he worked at Lowe’s Home Improvement. Jim was an avid golfer with his close friends in his spare time. “He played a full round. Scored well and made it into the clubhouse a little early. He will be missed by all.” Jim is survived by his wife of 42 years, Linda (Liebeknecht) Allen; one son, Devin Allen and wife Birtac; sister, Jeanne Marie Chavez; numerous nieces, nephews, sister-in-law’s and brother-in-law’s.
