Charles R. “C.R.” Amos, 74, Independence, MO passed away July 25, 2010. Graveside services will be at 2 pm, Thursday, July 29 at Miriam Cemetery, Maryville, MO. In lieu of flowers the family requests contributions to the American Diabetes Assoc., P.O. Box 11454, Alexandria, VA 22312.
C.R. was born Aug. 24, 1935 in Edgerton, MO. He was a U.S. Navy veteran. He was a union carpenter until his retirement in 1987. He was a Baptist. C.R. enjoyed hunting, fishing, whittling and oil painting.
C.R. was preceded in death by four brothers and two sisters. He is survived by his wife of forty-four years Charlene Amos, of the home; brothers William D. Amos, Jim Amos, Orville Amos; half-brothers Buddy Dean McComas, George Warren McComas III, Marvin McComas and Clifford McComas.
