Eulalia Fidelia Andrews, 82, of Independence, MO passed away Saturday, February 9, 2008 at Centerpoint Medical Center. Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, February 13, 2008 at St. Mark’s Catholic Church. Visitation will be 6-8:00 p.m. Tuesday, February 12, 2008 at Speaks Suburban Chapel where the rosary will be recited at 8:00 p.m. Burial in Woodlawn Cemetery. Eulalia was born April 9, 1925 in Dawn, MO to Hugh Patrick and Inez Della (Stone) Anderson. She started her lengthy teaching career in a one room school house. Her passion for teaching and children was evident in the many times her former students witnessed to the impact she made in their lives. Mrs. Andrews loved life. Her world revolved around her children and grandchildren. She enjoyed spending time at the family cabin at the lake and sitting on the dock and marveling at God’s creations. Eulalia is survived by her husband of 30 years, John Andrews; children Victoria Trantham and husband David, David Austin and wife Barb, Patty Wike and husband Dennis, John Andrews and wife Trish, Robin Andrews; grandchildren Austin Trantham, Colin, Megan and Jordan Austin; Taylor, Evan, Landon and Austin Wike; brothers Jack and Robert Anderson; sisters Coleene Espinosa and Carol Slattery; and by a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends. Eulalia was preceded in death by her first husband Victor Austin and by three brothers.
