Keolna F. (Danner) Angelides, 78, Independence, MO died July 10, 2011. A graveside service will be at 10 am, Thursday, July 14 at Salem Cemetery, 24 Hwy. and Blue Mills Rd, Independence, MO. In lieu of flowers the family requests contributions to the American Cancer Society Greater Kansas City Chapter, 1100 Pennsylvania Ave., Kansas City, MO 64105.
Keolna was born Sept. 20, 1932 in Kansas City, MO and graduated from William Chrisman High School. She farmed and sold produce and flowers at the City Market for over thirty-five years. She also was co-owner and operator of Obermeyer’s Greenhouse for twenty-eight years. She loved kids and was known to her family as “Duke”.
Keolna is survived by daughter Linda Sullins, Independence, MO; son Paul Angelides and wife Barbara; sisters Coeanna Obermeyer and husband Merle, all of Independence, MO; Aleta Walker, Warsaw, MO; grandchildren Eric Sullins and wife Jill, San Marcos, TX; Jared Obermeyer and wife Lisa, Independence, MO; Erin Reese and husband Aaron, Sibley, MO; Joshua Obermeyer, San Diego, CA and great-granddaughter Madison Sullins.
