Ann Jeanette Cannon, age 86, passed away on September 18, 2026, in Independence, Missouri. A visitation will be held at 9:00 AM, followed by the Service at 10AM on Tuesday, September 22, 2026, at Carson-Speaks Chapel, 1501 W Lexington, Independence Missouri 64052. Burial will be at 1:30pm at the Leavenworth National Cemetery in Leavenworth, Kansas. Memorial contributions are suggested to the Autism Society - The Heartland, P.O. Box 4455, Olathe, Kansas 66063.

Ann was born Ann Jeanette Long on July 26, 1940, in Howell County, Missouri to Robert T Long and Jean Long. Ann is preceded in death by her parents, husband Kenneth Lee Cannon, as well as two siblings, Mike and Joan. She is survived by brother Ronnie Long and wife Bethel, sister Debbie Long, son John M. Cannon and wife Heidi, son Roscoe T Cannon, granddaughters Whitney, Morgan, and Hope, great-granddaughters Juliet and Briar, and cousin Pam and husband Pat.

She loved dressing up, live theater, ocean cruises, playing the piano, listening to music, reading books, and writing poems and stories.

She put her faith in Jesus, attended services at LifeConnection Church, Independence, Missouri, and loved her family and friends unreservedly.
