Royce Arey

Royce Arey, 68, of Independence, MO passed away Monday, March 29, 2004 at his home. A memorial service will be 10 am Thursday, April 8th at George C. Carson & Sons Funeral Home. Visitation will be Thursday from 9 am until service time. Royce was born November 4, 1935 in Polo, MO to Leon Royce and Carrell V. Arey. He received his Bachelor�s degree in Education from Central Missouri State University, and was a teacher in the Kansas City Schools. He was a member of the NRA, the Ararat Shrine, Christian Lodge No. 392 AF & AM in Oak Grove, and a member of the Sugar Creek Eagles.
Royce is survived by his wife of 17 years, Charlotte Arey; sons, Eric and LeRoy Arey of Iowa; stepson, Bob Wright of Clinton, MO; step daughter, Darla Riner of Blue Springs, MO; seven grandchildren; a great granddaughter; sister, Nina Burnup of Independence, MO; three nieces and nephews.
