Arthur Alonzo Jackson Jr.

September 28, 1947 — March 13, 2026

A Life of Service, Craft, and Quiet Waters

Arthur Alonzo Jackson Jr., a man of steady hands and a kind heart, passed away on March 13, 2026 in his lifelong home of Kansas City, MO. Born on September 28, 1947, to Arthur Sr. and Theople Andrews, Arthur was a proud graduate of Central High School Class of 66' and an honorably discharged veteran of the United States Air Force as an Electrical Power Production Technician.

For 47 years, Arthur served as a Union Glazier, leaving a lasting mark on the Kansas City skyline. He was a craftsman who understood that anything worth building was worth building

Arthur was a Faithful member of Swope Parkway Church of Christ for 37years. He had a very strong faith in the Lord that encouraged him to write a book entitled Inri Hope for The Recovering Evil Man.

The Heart of the Home

While Arthur took great pride in his work, his greatest joys were found in the quiet moments spent with those he loved. He was a devoted husband to Eleanor and a guiding light to his son, Marcellus.

His legacy continues through his Five grandchildren - Hope (TJ), Marley, Savanna, Mercer, Miller, and two great-grandsons, Jackson and Rayden.

Gone Fishing

When he wasn't with his family or on a job site, Arthur was happiest on the water. An avid Bass fisherman, he found his peace in the patience of the catch and the stillness of the lake. He is now casting his line in much calmer waters, where the sun is always warm and the fish are always biting.

Family

Arthur is survived by his beloved wife, Eleanor Fagins-Jackson; daughter, Nichelle Jackson-Kerney (Kevin); son, Marcellus Jackson (LeiAnna); grandchildren, Hope, Chase, Marley, Savanna, Mercer and Miller; siblings, Anthony Jackson, Rhonda Ortega-Dickey, Paula Jackson (Sylvester) and Thomas Jackson (Ann); brother-in-law, Edgar Fagins (Barbara); and a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends.

Arthur is reunited in peace with his parents, Arthur Sr. and Theople Andrews.
