Mason Folau Atagi

Mason Folau Atagi, 16, Independence, MO died in a tragic accident on March 15, 2015. Services will be 11 am, Sat., March 21 at the LDS Stake Center, 937 W. Walnut, Independence, MO 64050; cremation. Visitation will be 5-8 pm, Friday at the Stake Center. The family requests contributions to the William Chrisman Booster Club. Mason was born March 8, 1999 in Independence and was a sophomore at William Chrisman High School where he played football, basketball ran track, worked on the yearbook staff and was on the Honor Roll. He loved all kinds of music, hunting and fishing but most of all he loved hanging out with his family. He had a welcoming smile and was a friend to all. Mason is survived by his parents Kristina and Stayton Atagi; brother Alex Atagi; sister Ava Atagi, all of the home; maternal grandparents Lee and Carol Snyder; paternal grandfather Ifo Atagi, all of Independence, MO; paternal grandmother Marianne McCollam and husband Shane, Blue Springs, MO; maternal great-grandmother Adla Snyder; paternal great-grandmother Suisami Atagi, both of Independence, MO; and many other family members.
