Russell Atkisson, 82, of Blue Springs, MO passed away Thursday, January 6th at the Medical Center of Independence. Memorial Services will be 11:00 am Thursday, January 13th at Glendale Baptist Church in Bowling Green, KY, with interment in Pleasant Run Cemetery. Russell was born October 7, 1922 in Mountain Grove, MO to Robert and Ermal (Russell) Atkisson. He leaves behind his children and their spouses Betty Jo and Ronnie Hicks of Blue Springs, MO, Russell and Allie Atkisson of St. Louis, MO, Robin and Mike Dimona of Johnson City, TN, Berkley and Emma Atkisson of Virginia Beach, VA; 11 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren. Mr. Atkisson was preceded in death by his wife Emma Jo in 1980.
