David Austin

David J. Austin, 54, of St. Charles, IL passed away Thursday, January 19, 2012. Mass of Christian burial will be 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, January 25, 2012 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, 600 N. Liberty, Independence, MO 64050. Visitation will be 6-8:00 p.m. Tuesday, January 24, 2012 at Speaks Suburban Chapel, 18020 E. 39th St., Independence, MO 64055. Burial in St. Mary’s section of Woodlawn Cemetery. David was born October 14, 1957 in Independence, MO to Victor and Eulalia (Anderson) Austin. He graduated from St. Mary’s High School and Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from CMSU. Dave was a Business Banking Officer with First Midwest Bank. He loved his family dearly, loved a good John Wayne movie on a Saturday night and spending time at home with the family. Dave had fun hanging out at the Lake, especially on the 4th of July. David was united in marriage to Barb Hale on February 19, 1982 and, together, spent 30 years of happiness. He is survived by his wife Barb; son Colin and wife Krystle; daughter Megan McIntosh and husband Eric; son Jordan; sisters Vikki Austin Trantham, Patty Austin Wike; and by a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends.
