Dylan Michael Austin, 26, Independence, MO died unexpectedly April 25, 2015. Memorial services will be 7 pm, Friday, May 1 at Carson-Speaks Chapel, 1501 W. Lexington Ave., Independence, MO 64052; cremation. Visitation will begin at 5 pm before the service at the chapel. In lieu of flowers the family requests contributions to the UCM Breakers Habitat for Humanity Foundation in Memory of Dylan Austin, Attn: Beth Rutt, Student Activities, University Union 217, Warrensburg, MO 64093. UCM has scheduled a memorial service for 4 pm, Monday, May 4 at the Student Recreation & Wellness Center where Dylan was a graduate assistant. Dylan graduated from Fort Osage High School in 2007 where he played Varsity football and ran Varsity Track. He then proceeded to the University of Central Missouri where he received his Bachelors Degree and was continuing work toward his Masters in Kinesiology. He was in his last semester of classes and was graduating in December of this year. He had a job offer to work at the hospital in Warrensburg in the Cardiac Rehab Department. He lived his life to the fullest in every way. He had a contagious smile that would light up any room. Dylan was a genuinely happy and positive person who was loved by all. He will be missed by all the people that he has touched in his short life. Dylan is survived by his father Scott Austin; mother Shelley Austin; sister Saige Austin; paternal grandparents Margaret and Terry Austin; maternal grandparents Rusty and Henrietta Darnel; many aunts, uncles and cousins. We will miss you, Dylan, so very deeply and we will see you in Heaven where we know you’re waiting. Dylan’s favorite quote will always holds true:
