Thelma Estalee Avery

Thelma Estalee Avery, 81, of Lee�s Summit, MO passed away Friday April 9, 2004 at her residence. Graveside services will be 10:00 am Monday, April 12, 2004 at Missouri State Veterans Cemetery in Higginsville, MO. Visitation will be 6-8:00 pm Sunday, April 11, 2004 at Speaks Suburban Chapel. Estalee was born November 5, 1922 in Wills Point, TX to M.W. and Ruth (Cox) Gilbert. Mrs. Avery was a devoted housewife. She enjoyed gardening, doing needlework and making crafts. Estalee loved spending time on the porch swing, and following her favorite baseball and football teams. Mrs. Avery is survived by her husband of 63 years, Jim Avery of the home; daughters Martha June Stecina (Raymond) of Brandon, MS, Diana Kay Frierson (Reggie) of Picayune, MS, Ginger Lynn Carroll (Greg) of Lee�s Summit, MO, and Debra Lue Constantino (Larry) of Ponte Vedra Beach, FL; 9 grandchildren; 1 great-grandchild; brothers Jack Gilbert of Edgewood, TX and Reggie Gilbert of Longview, TX; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Estalee was preceded in death by her brothers Gordon and Hubert Gilbert.
