Kendal Bailey

Kendal D. Bailey, Sr., age 62, passed away at his home surrounded by his loving family on January 6, 2010. Kendal was born January 3, 1948 in Heber Springs, Arkansas to Herbert and Elma Lewellen Bailey. Kendal married the love of his life, Barbara Frances Hazelwood on July 30, 1966 and had two loving sons, Kendal D. Bailey, Jr. who married Leigh Williams Bailey and Kent D. Bailey who married Pamela Routh Bailey. He retired from Ford Motor Company in 2003 after 30 years of employment. He and Fran retired to their lake home in Warsaw, Missouri and enjoyed spending time with friends, family, and fishing or hunting every opportunity he had. He thoroughly enjoyed life, his family and especially his grandchildren, Luke, Kendyll, Ally, Abby and Jack. He leaves a wonderful legacy and will be missed every moment of every day by his family and numerous friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, his sister Patsy Bailey and his brother Jerry Bailey. He is also survived by his sister, Sharen and her husband (his buddy and partner in crime for life) Donald Lockard, as well as his sister-in-law, Shirley Bailey and many wonderful nieces, nephews and friends. A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m., followed by a visitation to last until 5:30 p.m. on Sunday, January 10, at the Speaks Suburban Chapel, 18020 E. 39th St., Independence, MO. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions to Benton County Cancer Fund, Inc., 730 Hickory Drive, Warsaw, Missouri 65355.
