Phillip Bailey

Phillip Bailey, 66, of Independence, MO passed away Wednesday, June 25, 2008 at Centerpoint Medical Center. A visitation will be 6-8:00 PM, Friday, June 27 at Speaks Suburban Chapel. Services will be at 10:00 AM, Saturday at New Salem Baptist Church; burial at Salem Cemetery. Phillip was born July 28, 1941 in California to Earl and Alta (Carmack) Bailey. He worked as an aggregate inspector for MODOT prior to his retirement in 2000. Phillip enjoyed the outdoors, going deer hunting and motorcycle riding. He also enjoyed reading and watching westerns, but most of all, loved his family and friends. Phillip was preceded in death by his wife, Cynthia in August 2007, and his mother, Alta Bailey. He is survived by his sons Stephen Bailey and wife Pamela and Charles Bailey and wife Sandra; grandchildren: Gabrielle, Ian and Phillip Bailey; father, Earl Bailey; brothers, Roger Bailey and Terry Bailey; and a host of extended family and friends.
