Mildred Baldus-Rigg

Mildred Baldus-Rigg, 98, of Independence, MO passed away March 12, 2008 at the Golden Living Center. A visitation will be held from 1-2:00 p.m., with a 2:00 p.m. service to follow on Saturday, March 15, at the Carson-Speaks Chapel, 1501 W. Lexington, Independence, MO. Burial to follow at Oak Grove Cemetery. Contributions may be made to AseraCare Hospice of St. Joseph, MO. Mildred was born on March 1, 1910 in Bates City, MO to Edgar and Hattie Owings. She was preceded in death by two husbands, Albert Baldus and Norman Rigg; infant son, Ora Franklin; and two grandchildren. She is survived by one son, Albert Baldus and wife Eva Lynn; one daughter, Betty Joan DeWalt; two granddaughters, Dana Culbertson and Lori Knippa; and four great grandsons.
