Helen Balthis

Helen Louise Balthis, 89, of Independence, MO was called home to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Thursday, November 25, 2010. Services will be 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, November 30, 2010 at Speaks Suburban Chapel. Visitation will be 6-8:00 p.m. Monday, November 29, 2010 at Speaks. Burial in Floral Hills Cemetery. Helen was born March 5, 1921 in Kansas City, MO to Archie and Ethel (Roberson) Allen. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend to all. Helen was a member of Foursquare Gospel Church of Kansas City, MO. Mrs. Balthis is survived by her son John Balthis and wife Janet; daughter Paula Ellis and husband George; great-grandson Jonathon; three step-grandchildren; sister Viola Annis; and by a host of nieces, nephews and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband John W. Balthis, Jr.; three grandchildren Stephanie, Chad and Steven Perez.
