Nellie Irene Bancroft, 67, Independence, MO passed away Wednesday, May 25, 2011.
Funeral service will be at 11:00 AM Wednesday, June 1, 2011 at Speaks Suburban Chapel, 18020 E. 39th St. Independence, MO. Visitation will be from 10:00-11:00 AM Wednesday at the funeral home.
Nellie was born June 2, 1943 in Toronto, KS the daughter of Harold and Doris (Wooton) Puckett. She had worked as an accountant for the Concord, CA Naval Weapons Station PX. Nellie enjoyed traveling and spending time with family. She was preceded in death by her brother, Jerry Puckett and her parents.
Survivors include her husband, Dave Bancroft of Independence; daughter, Lisa McHenry of San Francisco, CA; son, Mark McHenry of Blue Springs; grandchildren, Matt and Mike McHenry; sisters, Lila Benson and her husband Donnie, Judy Jones and her husband Wayne, Doris Francis and her husband Danny; brothers, Gilbert Puckett and his wife Martha, Bill Puckett and his wife Rita, Larry Puckett and his wife Phyllis, Mike Puckett and his wife Jeanne, Eddie Puckett, Phillip Puckett and his wife Marlyn, sister in law, Peggy Puckett and numerous nieces, nephews and family.
