Wanda June Bandy, 72, Kansas City, MO passed away Oct. 9, 2015. A Celebration of Wanda’s Life will begin at 3 pm, Thursday, Oct. 15 at Carson-Speaks Chapel. 1501 W. Lexington Ave., Independence, MO 64052; cremation. Visitation will begin at 2 pm before the service at the chapel. The family requests contributions to the American Lung Association, 6701 W. 64th St., #110, Shawnee Mission, KS 66202. Wanda was born June 15, 1943 in Okemah, OK. She worked at St. Regis Paper Company and later at Jerry’s Restaurant and Faces Lounge in Independence and also at Westmark Shee Atika in Sitka, AK. She was a Past Bethel Guardian of Job’s Daughters. Wanda was a very outgoing person who had many friends. She enjoyed going to casinos, crafts, collecting angels, Chiefs football, Royals baseball, old movies and game shows. Most of all she loved her family. Wanda was preceded in death by her husband Bill Bandy, Sr. She is survived by daughters Norma Wolf and husband Brad, Kansas City, MO; Wilma Bandy and fiancée David Sprague, East Peoria, IL; son Bill Bandy, Jr., Sitka, AK; grandchildren Alecia Klotz and husband Brandon, Peoria, IL; Savannah Lacy, Overland Park KS; Amanda Lacy, Kansas City, MO; Thomas Blood, Pekin, IL and many nieces and nephews.
