Barbara Jean "Barb" Peterman

Barbara Jean (Wake) Peterman of Independence, passed away on May 29, 2026. Barbara was born on November 18, 1969, to Lowell (Ray) and Alice Wake. Barbara graduated from William Chrisman in 1988. Barbara met the love of her life, Lawrence while working together at Passantino Thriftway. They were married on January 29, 1994. Barbara and Lawrence had one son, Ryan, and she had two stepchildren, Caleb and BreAnna. Barbara was a homemaker who loved spending time with her family and her love of movies.

She is proceeded in death by her father and mother and by her mother-in-law and father-in-law. Barbara is survived by her husband, Lawrence Peterman of the home; her son, Ryan Peterman of the home; her sister, Nicole (Steven) Shahan; along with several nieces and nephews. Barbara is forever loved by all who know her and will be deeply missed.
