Rosemary Barber

Rosemary Barber, 82, of Independence, MO passed away January 5, 2010 at the Rehab Center of Independence. A visitation will be held from 6-8:00 p.m. on Thursday, January 7, 2010 at the Carson-Speaks Chapel, 1501 W. Lexington, Independence, MO. Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, January 8, at Fairmount Christian Church, 801 Ash, Independence, MO. Graveside services at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, January 9, at the Rolla City Cemetery, Rolla, MO. Following graveside services, a memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. at Trinity Episcopal, 120 E. Scioto, St. James, MO. Rosemary was born February 19, 1927 in Rolla, MO to Raymond and Thelma Pryor. She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Neal Pryor; and husband, Dr. William R. Barber. She is survived by her six children, Janet O’Rear, Mark Barber, Merrie Gibler, Marty Barber, Cary Barber and Christian Barber; sister, Rhea Cordsmeyer; 16 grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren; and her church family at Fairmount Christian Church. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Multiple Sclerosis Society.
