Don Richardson Barham, Commander, USNR (Ret.) 87, Independence, MO passed away Wednesday, November 17, 2010.
Memorial Services will be at 2:00 pm Saturday, November 20, 2010 at the First Presbyterian Church, 118 S. Pleasant, Independence, MO. Visitation will be from 1:00-2:00 pm at the church. Memorial contributions are suggested to the First Presbyterian Church or the Shriners Hospital for Children.
Don was born November 7, 1923 in Independence, MO the son of Don W. and Eula Ruby (Turner) Barham. He was a U.S. Navy Veteran, retiring from the Naval Reserves after 26 years. Don retired in 1983 from Rockwell International as a Sales Engineer. He was a member of the First Presbyterian Church where he served as a Deacon. Don was also a member of the Independence Masonic Lodge #76, the Ararat Shrine, Jesters and Ole Cars. Don enjoyed cars, jazz and big band music. He especially loved spending time with his family.
Don was preceded in death by his parents.
Survivors include his loving wife Margaret Barham of 66 years; son, Craig Barham; daughter, Melissa Frazier and her husband Bob of Houston, TX; grandchildren, Rebecca VanScoy, Lisa McKight, Nicholas Frazier, Jeffrey Frazier; and two great grandchildren.
