Nicholas Barry Sr

Nicholas E. Barry, Sr., 31 of Blue Springs, MO passed away, Sunday, February 6, 2011 at St. Mary’s Medical Center in Blue Springs. Services will be at 10:00 a.m., Friday, February 11, 2011 at the Speaks Suburban Chapel 18020 E. 39th St., Independence, MO 64055 with cremation to follow. The family will greet friends from 6 to 8:00 p.m., Thursday evening at the chapel. Donations may be made to the Nicholas E. Barry, Sr. Memorial Fund c/o Community America Credit Union 1800 S. Outer Rd., Blue Springs, MO 64015. Nicholas was born October 6, 1979 in Kansas City, MO to Timothy C. and Catherine (Belke) Barry, Sr. and has been a lifelong area resident. He had worked in construction most of his life. Nick was catholic by faith and had attended St. John Lalande Catholic Church and grade school as well as Blue Springs High School. He enjoyed playing pool, video games, basketball and poker. He is survived by; his father, Timothy Barry, Sr. and Jackie Forck of Blue Springs, MO; a sister, Dawn Knox and her husband Wes of Greenwood, MO; his companion, Misty Rice of Blue Springs, MO; a son, Nicholas Barry, Jr. of the home; his Godparents, aunt Tricia Mitchell and uncle Earl Belke; other aunts and uncles, Dan and Carla Castledine, Tom and Cindy Lou Gildig, Karl Belke, and Jon and Kathy Belke. His niece Caitlyn Knox, nephews Jordan and Shane Knox, and many loving cousins and friends. He was preceded in death by his mother, Catherine Barry in 1986 and his brother, Timothy Barry, Jr. in 2004.
