Brittany Barzee

Brittany Lynn Barzee, 21, Blue Springs, MO. Brittany’s life here on Earth ended on August 7, 2009, and she now is with her family and friends on the other side of the veil.

A celebration of Brittany’s life will be 11:00 AM Tuesday, August 11, 2009 at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints; 1416 SW 19th St. Blue Springs, MO. Burial to follow at Blue Springs Cemetery. Family will receive friends from 6:00-8:00 Monday at the church. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions be made in care of Brittany at www.brittanybarzee.org.

Brittany was born September 22, 1987 in Blue Springs, MO and lived a happy life filled with fun and adventures. She graduated from BSHS in 2006 and was involved in color guard, women’s ensemble and many theater productions. She was attending CSU in Ft. Collins, CO, majoring in communications. Despite her diagnosis with cancer and the side effects of chemo, she completed her last semester and with good grades! Brittany was a caretaker and comforter to all around her. Brittany laughed her way through life and would like you to “find happiness in the small things, and keep your sense of humor” (Boyd K. Packer). Brittany is a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

Brittany’s family includes her mother, Melissa Stracener and stepfather Doyce of Blue Springs; father Alan Barzee of Blue Springs; siblings, Laura Sola and her husband John; Devin Barzee and his fiancé Rachel Caylor, Jessica, Jared, and Travis Barzee. Niece Kayla Barzee; nephews, John and Jacob Sola. Step-brothers and sisters, Greg Stracener, Kathy Davis, Danette Troutman, Scott Stracener, Jamie Gerard and their families; her kitty Callie and many wonderful friends.
