Irene Batton

Irene M. Batton, 85 of Independence, passed away Tue. Mar. 14, 2006 at the Maywood Terrace Nursing Home. Mass of Christian burial will be 10:00 am, Mon, Mar. 20, 2006 at St. Ann�s Catholic Church. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service. Burial in Mt. Olivet Cemetery. Irene was born on Aug 25, 1920 to Frederick and Helen Arens in Kansas City, KS. She had worked in the Accounting Department at Macy�s from 1968 to 1982. Irene was a loving mother and grandmother who enjoyed being outside and tending her garden. She was a member of St. Ann�s Catholic Church. Irene was preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth Batton and a son, Charles R. Batton. She is survived by a daughter, Edith Batton; a son, Michael Batton and wife, Christine all of Independence. Two granddaughters of Michigan, two grandsons, Michael R. Batton and John Batton, both of Independence, MO. One sister, Edna Collette of Leavenworth, KS.
