Raymond was born on May 5, 1930, to Raymond and Hallie (Bartley) Beebe in Independence, MO. He graduated from William Chrisman in the class of 1948. He served in the U.S. Navy from 1948-1952 and saw active duty during the Korean Conflict. On June 13, 1953, he married Joanne Alley at Peninsula Baptist Church in Blackwater, MO. They were married 62 years and 4 months at the time of his passing. Raymond worked for United Airlines for 37 years. Raymond’s life was characterized by a deep, abiding faith which flowed through every part of his life. He was a dedicated, longtime member of Maywood Baptist Church, where he served faithfully as a Deacon and Sunday School teacher, leaving a lasting impact on many lives. Singing in the choir and quartet at church was one of his favorite activities. Raymond loved his family and friends and was a much-adored uncle, who was able to become a kid to play with the kids. His favorite hobby was woodworking, and his specially crafted projects grace the homes of many family members.

Survivors include his loving wife, Jo, of the home; two sisters, Lorraine Clark, of Templeton, CA, and Carol Rowe, of Las Cruces, NM; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; two sisters, Eleanor Harman and Doris Donaho; and two brothers, Charles Beebe and Donald Beebe.

Contributions may be made to the IMB Lottie Moon Christmas Offering, the Missouri Baptist Children’s Home, or Maywood Baptist Church Restoration in his memory.
