Doris Beil

Doris Hildegarde Beil, 98, of Independence, MO passed away, Monday, July 13, 2009 at Rosewood Health Center. Mrs. Beil donated her body to the University of Kansas for anatomic research. Memorial services will be 2:00 p.m., Saturday, August 1, 2009 at Pleasant Heights Community of Christ, 4341 Blue Ridge Blvd, Kansas City, MO 64133. Visitation will follow at the church. Donations may be made to Outreach International. Doris was born August 16, 1910 in Lyons, IA to Herman and Anna (Larson) Wulf. She spent most of her life in Iowa, graduating from high school in Fulton, IL in 1928. She had worked as Assistant to the Dean at Clinton Junior College for a number of years before she retired. She was a member of the O.E.S. in Iowa and the Pleasant Heights Community of Christ in Independence. She was married to Clarence Milton Beil on April 29, 1932; he passed away on September 18, 1996. Survivors include; a daughter, Sherrill Ann Cochran of Independence, MO; a son, Gary Beil and his wife Lanelle of Bloomington, MN; 4 grandchildren, Liz Harris, Tom Cochran, Brad Beil and Amy Lavelle; 10 great grandchildren, Elizabeth Beil, Ellie Cochran, Tyler Harris, Nate Cochran, Jacob Beil, Zachary Harris, Katie Lavelle, Maegan Lavelle, Emma Lavelle and Anne Lavelle. She was preceded in death 4 sisters and a brother.
