Elsie Bell

Elsie R. Bell, 99, of Blue Springs, MO died March 30, 2013 at the Villages of Jackson Creek Memory Care. “Tootie” was born December 14, 1913 in Neosha, WI to Robert and Emily Plamback. She had a twin sister, three other sisters, and one brother, all of whom preceded her in death. She married James J. Bell, Sr., in 1937 and was married 62 years. Tootie and James Sr. started Bell’s Gun and Sport Shop in Franklin Park, IL in 1958. She was a successful business woman and loved working in the business. She leaves her only child, James J. Bell, Jr. and wife Sharlene of Blue Springs, MO; two grandsons, James Bell III and wife Lara, Justin Bell and wife Deanne; four great grandchildren, Trevor 10, Hunter 7, A.J. 3 and Ali Bell 4 months. Elsie was a member of Country Meadows Baptist Church in Kansas City, MO. A memorial visitation will be held from 6-8:00 p.m. on Friday, April 5, at the Speaks Suburban Chapel, 18020 E. 39th St., Independence, MO.
