Roy Bellamy

Roy Eugene “Gene” Bellamy, 81, formerly of Buckner, MO passed away Friday, May 15, 2009 at Oak Grove Nursing and Rehab Center. Services will be 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, May 19, 2009 at Speaks Buckner Chapel. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service from 9-10:00 a.m. Graveside services 3:00 p.m. Tuesday, May 19, 2009 in Hopewell Cemetery, Versailles, MO. Gene was born March 28, 1928 in California, MO to Louis and Jenny (Allee) Bellamy. He proudly served in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict. Mr. Bellamy is survived by his daughter Melody Taylor and husband Tom; grandchildren Mindy Petralie, Jenifer Boyer and Jesse Gray; great-grandchildren Samantha Petralie, Ayden and Caleb Boyer; sisters Faye Melton and husband Don, Mary Lee Lehman and husband Dorsey, Carol Beard and husband Ron, Donna Bellamy; brothers Paul Bellamy and wife Amy, Glenn Bellamy and wife Marilyn; brother-in-law Norman Kays; and by a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and special friends. Gene was preceded in death by his daughter Nancy Bellamy; sister Norma Ruth Kays; brother Jerry Dale Bellamy.
