Virgil Eugene Bellville, 78 of Independence, MO passed away Mon. Jan. 14, 2008 at St. Luke’s East Hospital. Services will be 11:00 am, Fri. Jan. 18, 2008 at the Carson-Speaks Chapel, 1501 W. Lexington Ave., Indep. MO with the visitation being held from 9:30 am until service time. Burial in Md. Grove Cemetery. Virgil was born on Dec. 18, 1929 to Theodore and Ethel (Ostrander) Bellville in Whittemore, MI and has lived in Independence since 1959. He had been a Clerk and Dispatcher with Gateway Western Railroad from 1960 until his retirement in 1990. After that he worked at the Independence Regional Health Center in the transportation department and as a Technician Aid in the Lab and Radiology department and had volunteered in various departments for many years. He had been Head Usher for the RLDS Church for over forty years. He was a member of the Blue Springs Congregation of the Remnant Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints and the United Transportation Union. Virgil was a loving husband, father and grandfather and will be greatly missed. Virgil was preceded in death by his first wife, June Bellville in 2000. He is survived by his wife, Mary Bellville of Independence. Two daughters, Debbie Sue Bellville of Independence and Julie Lynne Gray and husband Dennis of Pleasant Hill, MO. Three grandchildren, Katie Skivers, Donnie Gray, and Jacob Gray of Pleasant Hill MO. A great granddaughter, Kaelyn Nicole Skivers. One brother, Clarence Bellville of Whittemore, MI. Many nieces, nephews, cousins and close cherished friends and neighbors.
