John M. Benson, 48, Kansas City, MO passed away Dec. 29, 2009. A memorial service will be held at 2 pm, Thursday, Jan. 14, 2010 at Oakwood Baptist Church, 7600 Lee’s Summit Rd., Independence, MO. In lieu of flowers the family requests contributions to the TNC Community, 15600 Woods Chapel Rd. K.C., MO 64139.
John was born Feb. 14, 1961 in Independence, MO. to Byron and Meda Benson. He enjoyed bowling, football, shopping music, dining out and going to church. He was preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by brother Ted Benson and his wife Cathy; sister Kathy Poore, all of Independence, MO; brothers Larry Benson, Raytown, MO; Guy Benson, Blue Springs, MO
