Barbara Berard

Barbara Berard, 61, of Blue Springs, MO passed away at her home Saturday, October 23rd. Services will be 10:00 am Wednesday, October 27th at Central Church of The Nazarene in Lenexa, KS. Visitation will be 6-8:00 pm Tuesday at Speaks Suburban Chapel. Graveside services will be 1:30 in Blue Springs Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Central Church of The Nazarene building fund, where Barbara was a secretary. Barbara was born October 30, 1942 in Camden, AR to Thurston and Idell (Hillman) Nowlin. She enjoyed sewing, cooking and reading in her spare time. Barbara was devoted to her family and was always there for them. She collected "Scottie dog� items and loved taking day trips with her husband to small town antique stores looking for new items to add to her collection. Barbara is survived by her husband of 43 years, Dennis Berard of the home; daughter and son-in-law Denise and David Kucharski of Blue Springs, MO; sons and daughter-in-laws Gary and Nancy Berard of Olathe, KS, and Rob and Laurie Berard of Manhattan, KS; grandchildren Katie, Carrie, Benjamin, Nathan and Christian; mother-in-law Helen Berard of Olathe, KS; aunt Mary Nell Cleason of Chidester, AR; brother Creighton and wife Dot Hogan of Kerrville, TX; sister Jean and husband Don Hemminger of Castle Rock, WA; brother Jerry and wife Mary Beth Nowlin of Renton, WA; sister Scottie and husband Gene Sharp of San Antonio, TX; brother Chester and wife Stephanie Nowlin of Norman, OK; sister Patty and husband Mike Teague of Mustang, OK; sister Linda and husband Leroy Taylor of Farmington, NM; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
