Coy Bergen

Coy Elizabeth Bergen, 46, of Blue Springs, MO, went to Heaven to be with her Lord and Savior Thursday, September 9, 2010. Coy was a beautiful, loving wife, a wonderful mother, and a loving daughter, sister, and aunt. She loved the Lord Jesus with all her heart and it showed through her love and compassion for everyone she met. She had a heart for loving babies and had worked in several church nurseries. Coy was a member of Gateway Church of Blue Springs. She was preceded in death by her two babies; and her father in-law Lawrence Bergen. She is survived by her best friend and husband Lawrence Bergen Jr.; her son Parker Bergen; her daughter Bailey Bergen; her mother Dolores Young; her father Charles Young; her sisters Patsy Benoit and Penny Foster; 9 nieces; 1 nephew; and many other relatives. Visitation will be held from 6-8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, September 15, at the Speaks Suburban Chapel, 18020 E. 39th St., Independence, MO. A funeral service celebrating her life will be held at 10:00 a.m. Thursday, September 16, at First Baptist Church of Blue Springs, MO, 1405 Main St., Blue Springs, MO. Burial will follow at Floral Hills East Memorial Gardens Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are suggested to the Mercy Ministries at Gateway Church, 1101B W. Main St., Blue Springs, MO or a charity of your choice in honor of Coy.
