Myrle Berrier

September 5, 1922 — June 26, 2008

Myrle (Lawson) Berrier, 85, was born in Martin City, MO on September 5, 1922 to John and Zula (Bartlett) Lawson and lost her courageous battle with cancer on June 26, 2008.
Myrle is survived by her son Terry Berrier and his wife Nancy of Chesterfield, MO; daughter Diana Shrout and her husband Paul of Lee’s Summit, MO; and daughter Debbie Boatright of Blue Springs, MO. She is also survived by her eight grandchildren, whom she loved dearly: Chad, Adam and Kevin Shrout, Ryan and Jason Boatright, and Casey and Molly Berrier. She was preceded in death by her husband of 30 years, Wallace “Bud” Berrier, her siblings, Orvetta Fann and Russell Lawson, her beloved son-in-law, John Boatright, and infant grandson, Justin Paul Shrout.
Myrle was employed at Montgomery Ward and later in life worked for the Fort Osage school district in the Fort Discovery program. Myrle was an excellent cook and loved creating meals for family celebrations. She had a strong spirit, a grateful heart, and a deep and abiding faith. She was a long time member of Pleasant View Christian Church, where a memorial service will be held on Monday, July 7 at 11:00 AM with a visitation beginning one hour prior to services. A private graveside will follow. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in her honor to Pleasant View Christian Church Memorial Fund or Crossroads Hospice.
