Betty Lou Houtchens

Betty Lou Houtchens, 98, of Independence, MO, passed away on Saturday, June 10^th, 2023, with her two daughters by her side.  Betty was born November 30, 1924, in Quincy, MO. A visitation will be held from 9:30-10am on Wednesday, June 14^th with a funeral service following at 10am, both at Speaks Suburban Chapel, 18020 E 39^th St.; Independence, MO 64055.  Interment will follow at Mt. Washington Cemetery in Independence.  

Betty was preceded in death by her husband Vern; her first husband, Harvey Logan; daughter, Linda L. Karr; son Roger N. Logan; granddaughter, Dawn L. Webb; grandson, Rodney N. Logan; her parents, four brothers and one sister.

She is survived by two daughters, Loretta L. Campbell (Tom) and Nancy K. Logan.  She was the very proud grandmother of nine grandchildren, twenty-two great grandchildren, and two great-great grandchildren.
