In Loving Memory of Bill Holt

Bill Holt, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, and son, passed away surrounded by the love of his family.

Bill lived a full and hardworking life, always finding ways to provide for and spend time with the people he loved most. Throughout his life, he owned and operated several small businesses, including a delivery service, a laundromat, a car wash, and a car dealership. His entrepreneurial spirit and strong work ethic were a defining part of who he was.

Bill was a proud member of The Royal Order of Jesters, an organization that held a special place in his life.

Above all, Bill was a man who cared deeply about his family and the people around him. He was always willing to lend a helping hand to someone in need and never hesitated to support those he cared about. Bill had a good sense of humor and a way of bringing laughter and enjoyment to those around him.

He was especially proud of his children and grandchildren and remained supportive of them throughout their lives. Whether attending activities, celebrating accomplishments, or cheering from the sidelines at high school sporting events, Bill made sure his family knew that he was there for them. His love and support extended to every generation of his family, and he treasured the time he spent with his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.

A lifelong sports enthusiast, Bill especially enjoyed auto racing and was an avid fan of sprint car racing. He loved following the races and the excitement of the sport. He also enjoyed watching football and sharing his love of sports with his family.

Bill is survived by his loving wife of 66 years, Donna Holt; his son, Jeff Holt and his wife, Connie Holt; his daughter, Deana Smith and her husband, Darren; his grandchildren, Todd Holt, Carisa (Holt) Harvey and her husband, Josh, Destiny Smith, and Devon Smith, his great-grandchildren, Holtyn Harvey and Brody Harvey; and his sisters, Patricia Enloe and Barbara Smith.

He was preceded in death by his parents, John Holt and Anna Holt (Hoppe); his siblings, Melvin Holt and Caroline Holt; and his beloved brothers, John Holt and James Holt.

Bill’s greatest legacy will not be the businesses he built or the things he accomplished, but the family he loved, the people he helped, and the memories he created along the way. His generosity, humor, encouragement, and unwavering support will remain a lasting part of the lives of those who knew and loved him.

He will be deeply missed, but his memory will live on through his family, the stories they share, and the generations who will always know and remember him.

Bill's family will be holding private services. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made in Bill's honor to the Alzheimer's Association.
