Edward Bird

Edward Bird, 85, formerly of Independence, MO passed June 15, 2010 at Cedars of Liberty Residential Care Facility. A visitation will be held from 6-8:00 p.m. on Friday, June 18, at the Carson-Speaks Chapel, 1501 W. Lexington, Independence, MO. Services at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, at the chapel. Burial to follow at Green Lawn Cemetery. Contributions may be made to the Salvation Army. Edward was born July 14, 1924 in Fordyce, Arkansas to Edward Bird Sr. and Mary (Spells) Bird. He was preceded in death by his parents; and his loving wife, Delphia Bird. Edward is survived by four daughters, Mona Lee, Kay Luttrell, Jeannie Westwood and Debbie Vernon; one son, Glenn Bird; 10 grandchildren; 16 great grandchildren; and many other loving family members.
