Margo Bisacca

Margo M. (Marenos) Bisacca, 69 of Independence, MO passed away, Sunday, November 20, 2011 at the Kansas City Hospice House. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, November 23, 2011 at St. Mark’s Catholic Church 3736 South Lees Summit Road, Independence, MO 64055. Entombment will follow in Mt. Olivet Cemetery Mausoleum. The family will greet friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m., Tuesday evening at the Speaks Suburban Chapel 18020 E. 39th St., Independence, MO 64055 where there will be a rosary recited at 5:30 p.m. preceding the visitation. Donations may be made in her name to the Building Funds of St. Mark’s Catholic Church or the St. Dionysios Greek Orthodox Church 8100 W. 95th St., Overland Park, KS 66212. Margo was born into the union of Sam G. Marenos and Sophia G. Apostal on May 26, 1942. She attended and graduated from the Kansas City Business College in 1962. While attending KCBS she was a member of the Alpha Iota sorority. She was a member of the St. Dionysios Greek Orthodox Church until she converted to Catholicism in 1999. She was also a member of the Daughters of Penelope for over 50 years. She worked for the Dept. of Labor, Office of Economic Opportunity, the US Treasury Dept. and the US Dept. of HUD. After 35 years of service for the United States Government she retired in 1997. She is preceded in death by her father, Sam, her mother Sophia and her stepfather, Christ Skiriotis. She leaves behind her husband of 44 years, Anthony Bisacca, a daughter, Kristi Schlote (Kurt), a son, A. Michael Bisacca (Cindy) and her beloved grandchildren, Christopher and Claire Schlote.
