C. John Blevins, 70, Excelsior Springs, MO, formerly of Topeka, KS, passed away Aug. 16, 2009. A graveside service will be held at a later date.
John was born Jan. 4, 1939 in Topeka, KS. He was a U.S. Army veteran and a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. He worked as a mechanic for the Wonder Bread Company for twenty-three years before retiring in 1999. He was an avid outdoorsman who loved fishing, pheasant hunting and camping.
John is survived by his wife of fifty years Ellen Blevins, Missouri City, MO; sons Benjamin and Michael; daughters Laura and Patricia, nine grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
