Dorothy E. Blocker, 85, of Independence, MO, passed away Tuesday, May 3, 2005 at Rosewood Health Center. Services will be 10:00 am Saturday, May 7, 2005 at Speaks Suburban Chapel. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service from 9-10:00 a.m. in the chapel. Burial will take place in Longview Memorial Gardens. Dorothy was born February 7, 1920 in Osceola, MO to George and Margaret (Roberts) Schnetzer. She moved to Kansas City to work when she met and married Roy Mossman on June 11, 1937. Dorothy was a long-time member of Central Assembly of God Church. She later married Russell Blocker and was working as a Book Keeper for Sears & Roebuck and then later retiring from Montgomery Ward & Co. Dorothy loved to garden in her spare time. Mrs. Blocker is survived by her daughters and sons-in-law Pat and Bill Collins of Lee�s Summit, MO, Edie and Ray Crain of Deepwater, MO; son Ed Mossman of Independence, MO; 19 grandchildren, 9 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-grandchild; brother and sister-in-law Elmer and Gladys Schnetzer, brother Tom Schnetzer, sister and brother-in-law Margaret and Dick Clark; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Dorothy was preceded in death by husbands Roy Mossman in 1974, Russell Blocker in 1991; daughters Joey and Sharon Mossman; brothers George, Dale and Earl Schnetzer.
