David Arnold Bodenstab

David Arnold Bodenstab, 63, of Independence, MO, passed away Thursday, January 15, 2004 at the Medical Center of Independence. Services will be 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, January 20, 2004 at Messiah Lutheran Church. Graveside services 2:00 p.m. in St. Paul�s Lutheran Cemetery in Concordia, MO. Visitation will be 7-9:00 p.m., Monday at Speaks Suburban Chapel. Memorial contributions may be made to Messiah Lutheran Church/School, 613 Main, Independence, MO 64050. David was born July 19, 1940 in Sweet Springs, MO to Arnold and Nora (Bockelman) Bodenstab. Mr. Bodenstab retired from the Teamster�s union in 1996 and enjoyed spending time fishing, watching sports and vacationing. David is survived by his wife Doris (Bufka) Bodenstab of the home; children Michael D. Bodenstab (Kimberly) of Lee�s Summit, MO, Thomas E. Bodenstab (Dena) of Blue Springs, MO, Deborah J. Bodenstab of Independence, MO; grandchildren Lauren, Devon, Whitney, Ashton and Erin Bodenstab; 4 brothers Orville, Virtus, James and Marcus Bodenstab and 2 sisters Ramona Brunkhorst and Phyllis Wilcox; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Mr. Bodenstab was preceded in death by his parents and a granddaughter Derryn Bodenstab.
