Lt. Col. Ruth L. Bonifield, 81, of KCMO passed away on February 22, 2019. Visitation will be 1-2 pm with funeral services at 2 pm, Wednesday, February 27, 2019 at The Salvation Army, 14700 Truman Rd, Independence, MO. The interment will be at Glen Oaks cemetery on Wednesday, March 6th.

. Ruth was born on January 15, 1938 in Reynolds, IN. to Jabez and Agnes (Firth) Wonders. Ruth was a lifelong member of The Salvation Army and served 43 years as a Salvation Army Officer. She retired with the rank Lt. Colonel. Survivors include; her loving husband of over 62 years, Robert Bonifield;
daughter Renea Smith and her husband Paul; daughter Robin Shiels and her husband Ken; daughter Rhonda Bonifield; son Robert Bonifiled and his wife Ronda; son Randy Bonifield and his wife Wendy.
