Bonnie J Orell

Bonnie J. Orell, 80, passed away on December 30, 2023, in her home surrounded by her loved ones. Bonnie was born on July 05, 1943, in Kansas City, MO to Thomas and Nellie Likely.  She was the sweetest, most caring woman, she would give you the shirt right off her back. Bonnie loved to sing, write poetry, and watch birds-cardinals being her absolute favorite. She loved to gamble and hit the penny slots when she could. Bonnie’s favorite holiday was Christmas and she enjoyed celebrating it surrounded by her family. She loved nothing more than her family, grandkids, and great grandkids. Bonnie was a proud member of the Sycamore Hills Baptist Church and stayed involved even when she was no longer to regularly attend.

Bonnie is survived by her son Brian Orell of Independence, MO, four grandchildren: Jacob Orell of Sedalia, MO, Hannah Orell of Osage Beach, MO, Tyler Orell of Oak Grove, MO, and Josh Orell of Independence, MO, as well as three great grandchildren, and sister Marcie Courm of Independence, MO. She is preceded in death by husband Bobby Orell, two sons Brad Orell and Benjamin Orell, her parents Thomas and Nellie Likely, her brother, and great aunt.
