Independence

Bonnie Jean Parker, a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, passed away peacefully at her home surrounded by her adoring family on July 25, 2023. She was born on March 17, 1942, in Rock Springs, Wyoming to Charles Henry and Minnie Belle (McBride) Longdon.

Throughout her life, Bonnie held various positions, but her greatest joy and main focus was always her family. She was a dedicated and selfless woman who never made a fuss over herself. Bonnie's caring nature touched the hearts of all who knew her.

One of Bonnie's favorite ways to express her love for her family was through baking and cooking delicious treats. Her mouthwatering creations brought warmth and joy to every gathering. Whether it was a homemade pie or a comforting casserole, Bonnie's culinary skills always left her loved ones craving for more.

In addition to cooking and baking, Bonnie had a passion for the great outdoors. She enjoyed camping trips with her family, immersing herself in the beauty of nature. While surrounded by the tranquility of the wilderness, Bonnie would often spend hours doing word searches and watching classic movies on the Turner Classic Movie channel. Her favorite films were old westerns featuring legendary actors such as John Wayne and Clint Eastwood. The majesty of the mountains captivated her soul and brought her immense peace.

Cremation is planned with a family gathering to take place at a later date. This occasion will be an opportunity to reflect on the love and kindness that Bonnie bestowed upon us all.

Bonnie will forever be remembered as an extraordinary woman. She was also a cherished daughter to Charles Henry and Minnie Belle Longdon and a devoted sister to her two brothers and one sister. Bonnie's legacy lives on through her children: Paul Arnote (Laura), Patti Townley (Charlie), Scott Arnote (Rachel), and Troy Arnote. Her endless love and guidance will always be felt by her eight grandchildren: Amanda Venable, Kyle Townley, Jessica Holton, Jeremy Arnote, Alicia Arnote, Patti Mae Arnote, Ryan Arnote and Lexi Arnote and five great-grandchildren; Evie Holton, Landon Venable, Vincent Arnote, Eli Holton and Savannah Townley.

During this time of sorrow, let us rejoice in the beautiful memories we shared with Bonnie Jean Parker. Her warmth, love, and unwavering dedication to her family have left an indelible mark on our hearts. As we gather to bid farewell to a remarkable woman, let us find solace in knowing that Bonnie's spirit will forever shine brightly through the cherished memories she leaves behind.
